A chance encounter between neighbors Mike and Bruce revealed a shared secret: both loved performing rock ’n’ roll loudly when not obliged in their primary occupations. Over time, Mike and Bruce learned of other closeted rockers, and invited them to Mike's suburban basement to make musical magic. Side Hustle eventually emerged from the shadows (and the basement). As often as our “main hustle” schedules allow, we bring fat tunes and fun times to the masses all around the DC/VA/MD area.

For the band members, Side Hustle is a source of tremendous joy. Our goal is for every performance to add joy to our audience's lives,  too.

We specialize in covering 80s and 90s songs, but our broad and eclectic repertoire spans seven decades from the 60s through today. With multiple strong singers, we especially love tunes that feature complex vocal harmonies.
